We are having Irish stew for lunch at work, and I'm wearing green earrings, green eyeshadows and green sweater. The gym will have an Irish-style workout class tonight as well, so I'm totally going green today

St. Patrick's Day isn't huge for us here...so we won't be doing anything in particular. Don't tell my Irish ancestors. :)

Top of the morning to ya!
The celebrating started this weekend with friends and neighbors at the neighborhood St. Patty's party. Today, I have corn beef and cabbage already cooking in the crockpot.

I celebrated with my students last Friday, March 13. We discussed the origins of the holiday. Then, did some fun worksheets. Unfortunately, my students have an exam next Monday. So, we'll start preparing for the exam today.

Actually I forgot it was St Patty's Day until I read this blog (in my email)! Although I'm not doing anything special today, maybe I'll do some green painting with my niece today!

Happy St. Patty's!!! In honor of this 'green day' I planted pansies (which reminds me of four leaf clovers) in a large urn right outside my front door. It brings a smile to my face to see its beauty and it reminds me that Spring is here! Yay! I will also be having the traditional corned beef and cabbage. Luck o' the irish to yah!

It's one of my best friend's birthday today. Even though we don't live in the same town anymore we still make sure to get in touch every St Patrick's day

Today I helped run a bake/candy sale to raise money for a local women's shelter that doesn't have much funding. On the weekend I made *150* chocolate pops, and a friend made small happy St. Patricks day cards... last night a friend baked and we put them all together today. We made so much it may take us 2 days to sell it all!

I'm having a different dinner tonight. We usually just have blah stuff like fish, vegetables, and such but tonight, we're spicing it up and having fancier foods. I don't know what yet.

I think this is the first year I didnt make corned beef and cabbage because my kids wouldnt be home for dinner. Both girls are in the high school marching band and were in the St Patricks Day Parade in NYC. I watched them on tv.
