Makeup Break - Pür Minerals

I've said it once and I'll say it again...I have extremely sensitive skin. I'm always hesitant to try new skincare products and makeup. But since mineral makeup has been all the rage, I just had to try it out. The verdict: 2 thumbs up! Pür Minerals gave me flawless coverage without the breakout. I used the Pür Perfection starter kit in 'Light' and it was a perfect match for my skin tone.

A few reasons why the Pür Minerals starter kit rocks:
- I can't say this enough...It didn't make me break out!
- The foundation has SPF in it
- The powder did not highlight any creases
- The bronzer is very natural looking
- The blush can be used as eyeshadow
- I used a lipstick brush and applied the blush on my lips with gloss...loved it!

According to PurMinerals.com, Pür Minerals contains the finest micronized minerals. They contain no harsh chemical dyes, just pure pigments from minerals. There is also no fragrance to irritate, no talc to dry or dull skin, no oil to clog pores and no fillers to take up space. They also include Shea Butter and Vitamin E to bind them together.

You can find Pür Minerals at Ulta, Dilliards, Shoppers Drug Mart, or at PurMinerals.com.

We all love to pamper ourselves at home, right? Kenzo's Cashmere for Body Skin is a must for an at home spa day. The clean, fresh, powdery scent of this lotion is ideal for serenity. The lotion comes in a spray bottle and leaves your skin with a powdery finish. It's a light lotion, perfect for summer.

Key Ingrediants
Silk extract – luxurious and sensual, silk fibre, also known as “the queen of threads”, softens the texture of this powdery fluid and eases its application on the skin’s surface. Rich in aminoacids, it is known for its moisturizing properties.
Milfoil yarrow – naturally rich in mineral elements and essential oils, milfoil yarrow contains truly soothing properties.

Tip: Make sure to shake really well before application. The powder tends to sit at the bottom of the bottle if it has not been used in awhile.

Haircare Break - Steam Creams & Oils

This system was the answer to my dry hair's prayers! The "Steam' Healthy Hair System" is an original specialized 3-part system formulated to keep your scalp and hair healthy. This ultra conditioning and nourishing treatment starts with the "Steam' Scalp Oil" #1 and #2, applied at the root to create a healthy foundation for the hair to grow. The "Steam' Hair Oil" #3 is a unique blend of all natural oils formulated specially for each part of the hair strand, designed to mend split ends while and adding lots of shine. The "Steam' Supplement" #4 is an ingestible capsule that works from within by providing internal nutritional support.

When all 4 steps are used together, "Steam' health Hair system" will provide vitality, better elasticicy, reduced shedding, and lost of gorgeous shine and manageability.

I tried all 3 oils and they worked really well. Our house has hard water and was drying my hair out really bad. I also have high lights, which doesn't help with the dryness. I would leave the oils on for about 20 minutes before showering. They have an aromatherapy scent which is very tranquil and relaxing. It was kind of like brining a spa into my home! My hair was noticeably softer after the first use.

Secret tip: The oils work wonder on cuticles too!

Lipstick Break - Marina Cosmetics Review

Marina Cosmetics had all of their bases covered when they formulated their new lipstick and lipgloss. They included the finest ingredients to offer the best in lip protection. Marina Cosmetics addresses the fact that we are all exposed to sun, pollution, stress, fatigue and bad eating habits. This leads to vitamin and mineral deficiencies that when left untreated, can result in broken capillaries, lost of firmness and dryness. This is why they use Seaweed, yes Seaweed, in their products. Seaweed is packed with easy to absorb proteins, vitamins, minerals and lipids, which protect against environmental factors and ward off aging by nourishing and moisturizing the skin.

Marina Cosmetic products also include:

ANTILEUKIN 6, ECOCERT
- Decreases wrinkle depth
- Prevents sun damage from sun exposure
- Boosts hydration
- Promotes firmness and smoothness

ORGANIC SEA KELP
- Essentials vitamins and minerals

BURITI OIL
- Has the highest natural occurrence of Vitamin A
- Soothes, hydrates, softens lips

ORGANIC JOJOBA OIL
- Restores, conditions and softens lips

ORGANIC SUNFLOWER OIL
- Promotes retention of moisture to hydrate lips

VITAMIN C & E
- Anti-oxidants that promotes collagen synthesis and aid in cell protection

I'm usually more of a lipgloss girl, but their lipstick is so soft and hydrating, that I wear it all the time underneath my gloss (Coconut is my favorite). Their 5 color palettes are inspired by the colors of a sea-washed shore, ranging from cool neutrals to warm corals and pinks.

Marina Cosmetics are hypo-allergenic, dermatologist tested and paraban free. You can find Marina Cosmetics online at www.marinacosmetics.com.
