SpaFinder Launches Spa Deal Days

Top spas throughout U.S. to offer popular treatments for just $50; Sign up before February 22nd for exclusive access to list of participating spas

New York, NY (February 15, 2010) – Hundreds of spas throughout the United States will offer luxury treatments for just $50 as part of the first annual SpaFinder Deal Days from March 8th through 14th.

Presented by SpaFinder, the week-long event will give Americans in every corner of the country a chance to ease the winter blues and recharge for the spring with facials, massages, manicures/pedicures, and more for just $50.

SpaFinder Deal Days marks the first truly nationwide spa event of its kind, with spas from Syracuse to Sacramento and everywhere in between expected to take part. Confirmed participants range from day spas to destination spas, including New York City’s Great Jones Spa; Red Mountain Spa in Ivins, Utah; Safety Harbor Resort & Spa in Safety Harbor, Florida; and Murad Inclusive Health Spa in El Segundo, California.

While the full roster of participating spas will be announced on March 1st, spa-goers who sign up now will have exclusive access to a sneak preview on February 22nd, allowing them to book treatments at the spa of their choice one week ahead of the general public.

“Our goal is to inspire people from all walks of life to take care of themselves with a much-needed moment of peace and relaxation, at a price that’s easy on the wallet,” said Sallie Fraenkel, chief operating officer of SpaFinder, Inc. “The one-two punch of winter and a tough economy has left people more stressed than ever, and this is a perfect way to recharge their batteries in time for spring.”

Spa Break - Get Pampered During Spa Week

Spa Week is coming to a city near you! From April 13 - April 19, several hundred spas across the country will be offering services for just $50 a treatment. Anything from a facial, massage or body scrub is offered at select locations. Visit Spa Week to register and see a list of cities that are participating in your area.

If I were in the US right now, I'd definitely be visiting the local spas for some pampering. Maybe in honor of Spa Week I'll schedule myself for a pedi here in India...

Spa Break - Bliss Spa on 49th

My husband surprised me with a weekend trip to New York City for my birthday. We had both never been to the city, so it was an adventure for both of us. We had nothing planned but shopping and eating. Well, except for my manicure appointment at Bliss Spa at 9am. I can never sleep in when I'm on vacation, so I decided to treat myself with a manicure from the award winning spa in the New York W Hotel, Bliss 49. I made it early so I would have pretty manicured nails for the majority of my trip (and so my hubby could sleep in while I got pampered).

The spa is so cool inside. White and baby blue, with a very airy feel to it. They offered me water, coffee or juice, and had an assortment of sweets and cheese out for all customers. It's a very chill atmosphere, which is perfect for a hour at the spa.

The nail technician who did did my manicure was nice, friendly and professional. She gave me advice and answered all of my questions (I tend to ask a lot, especially when I'm sitting in front of a professional). I have very dry skin, especially around my nails, and she suggested the Bliss High Intensity Hand Cream (with macadamia oil+grapeseed extract). It's wonderful. I bought a sample size for my purse, just to try, but now I want to invest in a large one. It's not greasy, and absorbs quickly. The smell is lemon-ish, very fresh and clean. Best part about buying this at the spa? It came in a fun, blue, Bliss bag tote!

I highly suggest this product if you have dry hands and/or cuticles. I use it religiously before going outside in the cold weather.
