Sinful Colors 'Pretty In Pink' Collection

Pink or red? Your only options for Valentine's Day colors :)

Check out Sinful Colors 'Pretty in Pink' Collection. Beautiful shades of pinks...and majorly affordable! You can find Sinful Colors nail polish in drugstores (in and outside of the US), and at the affordable price of $1.99! I'm wearing Soul Mate in my pictures, with a base coat, 2 color coats, and fast drying top coat. The nail polish went on really smooth. This color specifically would look awesome with a tan (fake tan, that is!).Here is a breakdown of the colors in the collection:
Pink Forever - Bazooka meets Bam-Bam to equal beautiful
Beautiful Girl - Classic ballerina with a flirty finish
Glass Pink - Sheer, shiny, shimmer-happy bliss
Boom Boom - Magenta-infused pink, which pops on toes and tips alike
Scandal - No-nonsense neon, slick and sensational
Soul Mate (pictured) - Muted peachy pink with a melon twist

On a separate note, check out this awesome ring I got from Forever 21. It's a double ring, so it fits around my ring finger and middle finger. I get so many compliments on a $6 ring!

Valentine's Day Gift Ideas - Part 1

Need some ideas for fun Valentine's Day gift ideas for friends? Or girlfriends (boys - I'm talking to you!)? Here are some great products and sales:

The best part about Valentine's Day is giving and receiving Valentine's Day cards! I'm loving Bonnie Marcus Collection cards, especially this one. Be unique this year and buy cards no one else will have! The best part: a portion of the proceeds from the sale of her products, will be donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and other organizations promoting breast cancer awareness.Bath & Body Works is really promoting Valentine's Day this year, they have tons of heart-themed items. I fell in love with these PocketBac anti-bacterial gels. There are 5 different 'love' themed ones, and right now they are $5 for 5. I bought them for my coworkers!

Super Bowl Sunday Manicure

Not into the Super Bowl? You're not alone. I'll be 'half' watching the game with friends, mainly tuning into commercials and the half time show. If you'll be partially tuning in, why don't you multitask and take care of your tips. Give yourself a fun DIY mani! Maybe paint them your team's colors? Mine would be black and yellow for tomorrow's game (Go Steelers!).

Manicure tips:
1) Remove old nail polish completely
2) File those nails! I like to keep them square, personally. A trick my friend Tina told me is to make sure you don't 'saw' them, going back and forth with the file, instead, file just one way, for example, right to left, it's better for the nail.
3) Buff'em! I like the 3 way buffer from Sally Beauty by Tropical Shine and the Lil' Whistler, which is easy to use because of it's shape.
4) Apply cuticle oil (I love Handbag Holiday and CND Solar Oil) and then soak the nails in warm, soapy water. Make sure to use a fun scented soap, dime size amount of your favorite body wash :)
5) Dry of your hands and push back cuticles gently with an orange wood stick or cuticle stick
6) Wash off cuticle oil (nail polish does not go over cuticle oil well) and make sure to lightly scrub over nails. You can use an exfoliater as well, to remove dead skin cells. Try Reversital as an exfoliater, helps hands look younger. Also works on elbows and removing self tanning mistakes :)
7) Base coat time, try Poshe 4-in-1 Treatment Base Coat
8) 1-2 coats of color (usually 2, unless you're using Avon, which goes on really well with just one). Make sure to wait at least 4-5 minutes in between coats, or else your nails will remain really sticky. Pictured to the right is Spa Ritual in Enlightened.
9) Top coat - I like Barielle's No-Chip Speed Dry
10) Now don't touch anything for 30 minutes! Well, maybe a small little Super Bowl snack, but be careful not to smudge'em!

A really good manicure kit that contains everything you need for a salon equivalent DIY is Ms. Manicure's Handy Dandy Mani contains everything you'll need to make your tips pretty.

Glee Gals Styles at SAG Awards

Did you enjoy watching the SAG red carpert last night? The best part is the celebrity styles! Suave Professionals Celebrity Sytlists styled both Dianna Agron and Jenna Ushkowitz. Read on to get their styles!

To recreate Dianna Agron’s chic updo at home, follow these simple tips from Jenny Cho, Suave Professionals Celebrity Stylist, and get your glam on:

“We wanted to merge the vintage and modern look together by doing a double knot in the back and sweeping the bangs to one side so you get a glimpse of the effortlessly undone ‘do from every angle” says Jenny Cho, Suave Professionals Celebrity Stylist.

1. Add texture to hair by adding Suave Professionals Volumizing Mousse to damp hair. You can be generous with the amount of product – in this case, more is better. Blow dry hair with fingers and a medium size round brush to smooth out the ends. Spray Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo all over, concentrating on the roots for extra texture.

2. Side part the hair with a tail comb and tease crown for a little extra volume. Apply Suave Professionals Sleek Anti-Frizz Cream to hands and split the hair down the center into two sections. Tie a knot as if you're tying a bow and secure the first knot with bobby pins and u-pins. Make another knot right under the first, so it's double knotted, and secure with more pins. Leave the ends out to give it the undone finish.

3. Sculpt the front by adding more anti-frizz cream and mold the fringe to frame the face. Leave a piece out on one side to add a touch of looseness.

4. Finish the look with Suave Professionals Touchable Finish Lightweight Hold Hairspray for a natural, movable finish.

Theodore Leaf, Suave Professionals Celebrity Stylist, worked his magic on Jenna Ushkowitz, creating an elegant updo. Follow his tips to make Jenna’s look your own:

“We wanted to pull Jenna’s hair back to showcase her show stopping necklace! We decided on an elegant updo with lots of volume and face-framing pieces to give it a soft texture” says Theodore Leaf, Suave Professionals Celebrity Stylist.

1. To achieve this soft beautiful texture, start with dry hair and an off center part, then section starting at the bottom.

2. Next take a two-inch section of hair and spray with Suave Professionals Touchable Finish Extra Hold Hairspray. Using a small 1 inch flatiron, wrap the hair around the iron starting midway down the hair, creating a wave. Finish by flat ironing the ends straight to keep the look natural.

3. Spray the roots at the crown with hairspray and tease to create a cushion. Take a small section and smooth over the cushion for a perfect shape.

4. Finally, take several large bobby pins and pin the ends up to the base to create the soft shape, criss-crossing the bobby pins to secure. Take a few pieces of hair out to frame the face and apply a mist of hairspray to keep everything in place.

All Suave Professionals products mentioned are MSRP $1.92-$3.99 (depending on size). Suave Professionals products are available at drugstores, mass merchandisers and supermarkets nationwide. Please let me know if you’d images of any of the above mentioned products.
