Bobbi Brown & Lauren Bush Announce the FEED10 Pouch

When you buy the FEED10 pouch, you provide ten disadvantaged women and their families with food and job training through the United Nations World Food Progam. In partnership with FEED, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics has filled this canvas bag, crafted out of sustainable materials using fair trade labor, with three of her favorite Lip Gloss shades: Petal, Rose Sugar and Aubergine. The World Food Program is an incredible organization that recognizes and answers the dire need among disadvantaged women for the most basic of necessity in life— food.

With the purchase of this bag, you are joining us in a single, kind gesture that will help a woman in need gain her independence and self-esteem and empower her to change her life and that of her family members.

1 in 6 people around the world live in extreme poverty, 70% of them are female. Women are generally the last to eat a meal—after their husband and children—and suffer most from hunger and malnutrition.

WFP’s Food for Work Program enables women to thrive by offering much needed job training and work—and providing food in exchange. This simple exchange allows women to break the poverty cycle by alleviating their daily struggle to secure food for themselves and their families. In return, they are able to invest time and energy in learning new job skills that are important for a sustainable future and hope for their children, their families, and
their communities.

Thank you for supporting the movement to empower women to feed themselves and their families. We hope you enjoy your FEED 10 pouch! With it, you have provided 10 women with hope for a brighter future.

L'Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Makeup Review

I recently tried out L'Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable makeup. When looking at new foundations and tinted moisturizers, I look for something that lasts a whole work day and doesn't flake off or make my skin oily. Here is a timeline of my day with True Match:

6:30am - Applied Cerave lotion to face, and then applied L'Oreal True Match in Light Ivory. So far, so good. Went on even and feels pretty light. Provided a good initial cover of blemishes and redness on my nose and cheeks. I used Avon minerals bronzer on my cheeks and I was out the door.

10:30am - At work now. Bathroom break. Makeup coverage still looks pretty good. My nose is a little shiny, but nothing that calls for a touch up.

2:00pm - Makeup still looks pretty good. My skin isn't oily and the coverage isn't fading.

6:00pm - End of day, still covered! I could probably use a light blotting powder on my nose and a touch of bronzer, but overall, the makeup is still even on my skin.

Added benefits? It contains SPF 17 and comes in 24 different shades!

Anthony Logistics For Men Supports Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

With September here already, Anthony Logistics For Men announces the launch of an oversized (32 oz) Sea Salt Body Scrub created to support the fight against Prostate Cancer during Prostate Cancer Month in September. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this product will be donated to the Aueron Protocol Study at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC for its Prostate Cancer Research program.

The Sea Salt Body Scrub is an Anthony Logistics favorite – sea salt exfoliates, sea kelp extract nourishes, aloe vera gel soothes, nutmeg oil tones and vitamin C nourishes. Now available in a jumbo-sized 32 oz. bottle, it’s more bang for your buck while giving back to charity all at the same time.

I tried this scrub out for myself and loved it. It's not an overwhelming 'manly' smell and it made my skin feel soft after using it. My husband was pretty excited to try out a 'man' product and he liked it too! The large size bottle has a convenient pump which makes it easy to use in the shower.

The jumbo size bottle is $15 and can be purchased at www.anthony.com.

Giveaway Break - David Babaii Hair Products

Celebrity hairstylist David Babaii recently coiffed his client Scarlett Johansson for a few summer Red Carpet Events, creating some dramatic variations to her long strawberry blonde locks. Check out her hair and steps to recreate for yourself!

Scarlett Johansson at Comic-Con 2009

To achieve this curly, wavy, sexy look for Scarlett Johansson's appearance at Comic-Con 2009, celebrity hairstylist David Babaii applied his Amplifying Whipped Mousse from roots to ends. This gives just the right amount of volume and hold to her strawberry blonde hair.

Next, he rough dried her tresses by using his hands, moving the hair in various directions. Once dry, he sectioned her hair into 3 different parts: top, sides and back leaving the nape area free. This is one of David's most important styling tips, since you need to have constant control over the hair at all times. To create his famous wavy curls, he used a 1 ½" sized FHI Heat Ceramic Curling Iron.

To style, he took small "V" shaped strands and wrapped them around the inside of the barrel. Then, David allowed each curl to fall naturally. Through selected strands, he ran his fingers up the partially curled strand to achieve added volume. For additional lift at the scalp area, he sprayed Volcanic Ash Root Amplifier on his finger tips and applied to the root area by roughly massaging into the area. This adds added fullness and texture. To complete, he sprayed Mise en Plis Light Styling Spray.

Scarlett Johansson at LA Shorts Fest '09

David Babaii's inspiration for Scarlett Johansson's style was a 40's Marilyn Monroe look with the illusion of a chin length "bob" without cutting any hair!

After drying her locks with Hair Polish applied to damp hair, David divided her tresses into 3 sections: top with a side part, sides and back leaving the nape area free. To create these large barrel sized curls, he took alternating "V" shaped partings to avoid any part lines from showing through. David used a 1 ½ inch FHI Heat Ceramic Curling Iron throughout her entire head. The sides and back curls were pinned into various sized looped curls giving the illusion of a short "bob". On the top, he gently brushed her hair to one side forming soft waves. For added glamour, David brushed back one side and secured with a decorative hair pin. For hold, David used his Mise en Plis Light Styling Spray for a soft long lasting hold.

Get Christina Applegate's Emmy Look

Makeup Artist: Joanna Schlip for Clarins

Joanna was inspired by Christina’s dramatic, sweeping gown when creating her makeup look. The vintage glamour of the navy stunner called for simple makeup that still made a statement. With her hair pulled back in a chic chignon, Joanna was able to play up Christina’s eyes with a sexy retro smolder, while keeping her skin fresh and lips softly pink. Like the dress, Christina’s makeup exuded a Brigitte Bardot 60’s cool, with a modern twist.

Skincare: To create a radiant glow, Joanna prepped Christina’s skin with three steps: First she cleansed with Clarins Water Comfort One Step Cleanser. She then applied Clarins Multi-Active Day moisturizer, followed with Clarins Beauty Flash Balm for smooth, hydrated, radiant skin.

Face: Since Christina has naturally beautiful skin, Joanna kept her face mostly bare with a light wash of Clarins True Radiance Foundation. She fished with a dusting of Clarins Loose Powder in Translucent.

Cheeks: For a natural but luminous flush, Joanna applied Clarins Instant Sun Light Shimmer Palette on the apples of her cheeks, sweeping up to the hairline. The shimmering highlighter reflected the California sunlight on the red carpet, giving a healthy, peachy-pink glow.

Eyes: Joanna reflected the drama of Christina’s dress with a smoldering eye. Using the dark gray shade from Clarins Colour Quartet for Eyes in So Chic, Joanna gave a smokey depth to Christina’s green eyes. To add definition and drama, she applied Clarins Eye Pencil in Black around the upper and lower lash line and inside the wet line, then finished with three coats of Clarins Wonder Perfect Mascara in Black.

Lips: For a soft, modern pink mouth, Joanna applied Clarins Lip Definer in Bay Rose, and then added a hint of gloss with Clarins Colour Quench Lip Balm in Rose Pink.

Get Mary-Louise Parker's Emmy Look

Makeup Artist: Tina Turnbow for Maybelline New York

Stepping onto the red carpet in a single strapped, deep purple Zac Posen dress – Mary-Louise Parker was ready to shine at the Emmy’s! Tina was inspired by the deep purple and indigo tones in Mary-Louise’s dress, and her gorgeous gunmetal grey accessories. To play up the colors in Mary-Louise’s dress, Tina brought out her best features with a dramatic yet classic smoky eye, blushing pink cheeks and nude lips.

Face: Because Mary-Louise has beautiful porcelain skin, Tina kept her face looking pristine by applying Maybelline New York Dream Liquid Mousse in Classic Ivory – with touches of Maybelline New York Dream Mousse Concealer in Light under the eyes and to the tops of the cheeks to give a contoured look.

Cheeks: To compliment her ivory skin, Tina brushed on Maybelline New York Mineral Power Naturally Luminous Blush in Gentle Pink to the apples of the cheeks to give the look of a soft natural flush.

Eyes: Tina’s inspiration for Mary-Louise’s entire look was the gorgeous opal-toned smoky eye she created with Maybelline New York Expert Wear Stylish Smokes in Amethyst Smokes. Tina used all four shades in the palette to play up her eyes and add drama; the deep purples complemented her creamy skin and dark hair. She then followed with Maybelline New York Line Stiletto Liquid Eyeliner in Black on the upper and lower lash lines. To showcase the gorgeous jewel tones of the shadows, Tina only applied one coat of Maybelline New York Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara in Very Black. Pulse Perfection

Lips: For a barely-there, neutral lip, Tina lined the entire mouth with Maybelline New York Color Sensational Lip Liner in Toast. She then followed up with Maybelline New York Color Sensational Lipstick in Nearly There.

Body: To complete the look, a soft dusting of Maybelline New York Mineral Power Illuminator in Nude was brushed along her collar bones, arms and legs for a red carpet glow.
