My hands say 'aaaahhhhh' when I put this hand cream on. H20 Spa Hand and Nail Cream is non-greasy and long lasting. It also has a very clean, fresh scent to it. Bath & Body Break - LUSH Cosmetics Massage Bars

During the long, Michigan , winter months, I'm always on the lookout for a good body moisturizer. I purchased two LUSH Cosmetics massage bars during their after Christmas sale. My friend recommended the Mange Too Massage Bar, and I also bought the Soft Coeur, aka the honeymooner, because I liked the scent. They are solids, but melt within 2 seconds of being in your hands. Once warm, they will glide over your skin as a moisturizing lotion. They are a little on the greasy side, specifically made for massages, and will leave your skin glistening and a bit slick.

I use them after the shower in the morning, and their scent lasts throughout most of the day, and the moisturizer works the whole day. I don't use this as any every day moisturizer, just as a special treat for my skin once or twice a week :)

These are made with natural butters and oils (like most LUSH cosmetics). One warning: wait a good 15 minutes before dressing in your Sunday's best, they are pretty greasy and will stain!

Lipgloss Break - MAC Little Darlings Holiday Set

Handbag Break - Bag Haus Primo Tote

Have I mentioned that I LOVE purses & handbags too? I received this purse as a holiday gift and have already received so many compliments on it. I love that it is divided into two parts by a zipper pocket. It received the medium size, which is perfect for shopping during the day and a night out at the bar. It's lacking an inside cell phone pocket but the zipper pocket in front fits my blackberrry. The only downside, even when it's empty, it's a little bit on the heavier side.

Lipgloss Break - Kiehl's LIP BALM #1

Even though it's a balm, and not a gloss, it's still worth blogging about. Kiehl's LIP BALM #1 is my favorite, especially during these cold winter months. The new flavors (Coconut, Vanilla) are delicious. It adds just enough shine to your lips while moisturizing and protecting them. Added bonus: It contains SPF 4 Sunscreen!

Only downside, the applicator. I think it's meant to be a finger application, but if you're like me, a germ nut, I avoid the finger and put it directly on my lips.

Lipgloss Break - NARS Orgasm

I can imagine this color looking great on everyone. It's a peachy pink color, and is great for a day gloss and will compliment a smokey eye at night. NARS gloss is a little thicker and stickier, but stays on really well by itself or over lipstick. The matching Orgasm blush completes the look ;)

No heat

I put off writing my first post because I wanted it to be great, monumental, moving. Well, here it is. I'm feeling moved right now because our furnace is broke and it's about 20 degrees outside. Oh yes, Michigan winters. It's taking everything I have to type because my fingers are so cold. Thank goodness for electric heaters.

Hi there - Thanks for checking out Lipgloss Break!

Lipgloss Break started in late December 2008. I decided to start documenting all of my fun beauty findings, instead of updating my friends and family through email and phone. It's important to do the right research before investing in beauty products (right?) so I hope to provide readers with a good run down of which products are worth the money. The giveways on my site are in place to help those try new things (for free!) and to help spread the word about new cosmetic brands and products.

A little about me: I was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, MI. I married my best friend, Mike, in October 2008 and we own a house in Brighton, MI, right outside of Ann Arbor.

When I'm not at my full time job as a mobile ad sales representative, I of course enjoy beauty blogging, wakeboarding, shopping, spa dates, going out to eat, traveling (spent 2 months in India recently for work) and hanging out with friends and family.
