Carly Rae Jepson by Harry Josh at the Billboard Music Awards

I love Carly Rae Jepson's song 'Call Me Maybe.' It's so catchy and my husband and I always sing to it when it comes on in the car!

I was really excited to find out that John Frieda stylist Harry Josh styled this pop star's hair for the Billboard red carpet. He gave her a super sleek rock n roll blow out...here's how:

"Movement is key," says Josh who applied John Frieda Full Repair Style Revival Heat Activated Styling Spray ($9.99) to Carly Rae's wet hair before blow drying to ensure her final look would have shine and a flexible hold that will last throughout the night.

After blowdrying he flat ironed her hair section by section. "The heat from the flat iron is what helped to lock in shine. Style Revival, which is formulated with lightweight Inca Ichi Oil, helped to protect Carly Rae's hair from the potential damage from the high heat of the flat iron."

To finish off the look, Harry used a touch of John Frieda Frizz-Ease Hair Serum Thermal Protection Formula ($9.99) on the ends to seal in shine.

Zoya nail polish in Ali

Neon nails to get me pumped up for tomorrow! Zoya in Ali dries matte so I added a quick dry top coat to give it some shine.
I love that neon's are back in style. Everyone needs a little neon in their life!

  • Jessica Cosmetics Heavy Petal Collection

I'm a huge fan of Jessica Cosmetics nail polish. They offer beautiful shades that are long wearing and go on very easily, usually streak free.

Their Spring 2012 Heavy Petal Collection is awesome. The collection is made up of different shades and finishes of pinks and purple. Each color has a solid version, a soft metallic version and light shimmer shade version (these are pretty sheer). From top left clockwise the colors are: Witchy Wisteria, Dased Dahlia, Hotter than Hibiscus, Rolling Rose, Born 2 Pansy, & Geranium Gypsy.

I used Dased Dahlia for a pedicure and it looked awesome. Rolling Rose & Born 2 Pansy are my favorites for a quick polish that will go with a lot of different outfits and since they are semi-sheer.

    San Francisco in a Weekend

This post is way over due. It was amazing to get away for a bit 2 weeks ago with the hubby. San Francisco is an amazing city. Lots of shopping, great food and sunshine. Super chilly at night and when the sun goes in, but I was prepared from my past experiences.

Even though I didn't make it to the gym in SF, I feel like I got an amazing workout from all the walking we did! Saturday morning we woke up early, had breakfast, and rented bikes. Yes, we were touristy, we rode our bikes across the bridge into Sausalito. So..much...fun...but a tough ride! 8 miles later we were dining in Sausalito, followed by coffee drinks before catching the ferry back to the city.

Sunday we explored some more, made it to the Coit Tower and a ton of parks, and did our fair share of people watching in North Beach.

If you plan on visiting San Francisco my tips are:
     - Bring comfortable walking shoes
     - Bring a jacket that transfers from day to night (jean jacket, blazer) because the city can go from what feels like 80 degrees to 50 degrees in a minute!
     - Wear sunscreen. The temperature is deceiving. It may be chilly, but if the sun is out you will burn!
     - Sit at an outdoor cafe and people watch. Lots to take in on the streets of SF :)
     - Rent bikes to get around and explore, and if you have it in you, ride them across the bridge - it was definitely the highlight of our trip!

Steps leading to the Coit Tower.
Cotton Nautical colored dress from Marshalls, Rebecca Minkoff MAB mini bag
View from the middle of the bridge
Flowers along the bay in Sausalito

Chai latte, cappuccino & people watching
