Zoya Mod Mattes

Zoya is releasing Limited Edition matte nail polish for the Summer - Mod Mattes. I think Lolly is adorable! I wonder how the matte pink would look on toes? These will be available March 21st.

Piggy Paint for Kids

Piggy Paint nail polishes are for kids! I was excited to try this polish out. Not only did I love the color, but I thought it was a really cool idea.

Piggy Paint Nail Polish is safe for kids because it is:
- non-toxic
- low odor
- water-based formula
- hypoallergenic
- fun, vibrant colors
- cruelty-free
- safe for use during pregnancy!

I tried this color out in Girls Rule, which is a shimmery purple. I painted my nails at night with a base and top coat, and the next day it started to chip. This is definitely a great concept for kids, but doesn't transfer to adults (washing dishes must have did it in!), which is a bummer, since the colors are outstanding!

Bikini Waxing Tips from Skyy Hadley

Spring is here, even though the weather doesn't seem like it! Below are some tips from beauty expert Skyy Hadley on ways to get silky smooth skin before, during and after you get a wax.

Before wax

· Exfoliate the area to be waxed with an exfoliating scrub such as the True Blue Spa Invigorating Spa Scrub

· Make sure hair is at least ¼ inch long before you wax

· I suggest taking an aspirin or drinking a glass of wine an hour before your appointment or at home wax to minimize the pain

During Wax- if you choose to wax at home

· Make sure the area is clean and dry

· Sprinkle some baby powder onto the area to be waxed

· Apply a thin layer of wax in the direction of hair growth

· Pull wax strips off in the opposite direction of hair growth

· Use one hand to pull the wax and use the other to stretch skin to help minimize pain

· Remember to wax small areas at a time

· My favorite at home wax kit is the Bliss Poetic Waxing Kit

After wax

· Apply an aloe lotion or gel onto the treated area to soothe the skin

· If desired, apply an ingrown hair protector gel after waxing the bikini area

· Wear loose cotton pants or a skirt to let the treated area breathe

Myth: Shaving causes hair to grow in thicker and waxing causes hair to grow back lighter. In reality, it really only appears this way because when you shave, hair grows in all at the same time where with waxing the hair grows in at different times.

Shellac in Gotcha

Love love love Shellac's new pink, Gotcha. It's from their Spring line. This picture makes it look a little darker than what it is. It's very similar to Zoya's Barbie in person.

It's a must for Summer!

Obsessive Compulsive Nail Polish Wasabi Swatch

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics are outrageous! I love them, super bold and fun. Check out the polish I sported for St. Patty's Day. It's called Wasabi. I thought it would turn out green, but it was more of an electric yellow. It's pretty thin paint, so it needs about 3 coats to get rid of streaks.
