The idea of Big Bang Theory - Illusion Gloss came when Poppy King was reading an article about the re-creation of the The Big Bang Theory. “As with everything I read, see, touch and experience, I thought about how I could relate this fascinating information to lips. I thought of my theory, that the right ratio of shimmer to shine can create the illusion of plumper lips.”
With a little help from her chemist, Poppy created the perfect “illusion gloss,” working over two months to get each shade precise – and BANG – the perfect formula has arrived! Poppy’s Big Bang “Theory” is: “Women spend a lot of Time* looking for products that maximize the Expansion of the lips. It seems like everyday there is a new lip plumping Creation, most of which are uncomfortable to use and end up in the Black Hole of your bathroom draw. I’ve taken all of my knowledge of the lip Cosmos and have put all my Energy into designing these eight shades of gloss for a Big Bang effect. Each shade has my exact ratio of shine to shimmer to create the illusion of fuller lips. All Big Bang Theory - Illusion Gloss package illustrations are based on arts and crafts fabric textures and Copernicus and Nan Goldin photographs from the 80’s. Each one was hand drawn by James Bernard, who designs all of Lipstick Queen’s original package designs.
I can vouch for this gloss: Full glossy lips with no stinging at all. I tried this gloss in Infinite, which is a shimmery pinky peach. It's the most subtle hint of pink that compliments my light skin tone. The packaging is fun, it looks like a test tube, with a sponge applicator.
